The event you've all been waiting for is almost here! On October 19th, we will volunteer at the Columbus Marathon to run a water station for the runners. To register, go to the link below and follow thee instructions. Once you click the link, there will be a big button that says "Volunteer Now". Click that. While registering, you will be prompted for the usual name, phone number, address, etc. After filling that information out, you will be taken to a page with a bunch of choices labeled "Volunteer Opportunities". Choose "Aid Stations" and then choose "Water Stop # 5 (Broad St, just east of downtown / Mile 7.6)". This is the same spot as previous years just under a different name. Once on that page, click "Volunteer" on the right and you're all set! Hurry as spots tend to fill up fast and there are only 50 left! If the spots are filled, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANOTHER WATER STOP. This is important since there will be no advisers present at other water stops.
Other Info: Students must arrive before 6:15 and note that there is limited parking in the area. Dress warm as your clothes WILL get wet, and it is always cold early in the morning and well into the race. Keep any valuables on you, don't bring backpacks for security reasons. It might be helpful to have a light source as you will arrive before sunrise and having a flashlight makes filling cups easier.
The address for the Water stop is: 1251 E Broad St Columbus OH, 43205
